Lifecycle Traceability. Audit-Ready Data. EU Market Access.
Digital Battery Passport
EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 takes full effect on 18 February 2027, setting a new standard for battery transparency, lifecycle traceability, carbon disclosure and circularity.
It covers five categories. All need a QR code and prescribed data. Three also need a full Digital Battery Passport. carbmee helps manufacturers, importers and supply chain partners replace fragmented spreadsheets with one system for product, supplier, carbon and compliance data, enabling QR codes and passports built on verified, audit-ready information.
Turn regulatory pressure into a competitive advantage with trusted battery data that protects EU market access, strengthens supplier transparency, and supports circular business models

Struggling to Prepare for the EU Digital Battery Passport?
The Battery Regulation is not just another compliance document. For LMT, industrial and EV batteries, it requires a live lifecycle record built on battery-level data, from product design, suppliers, manufacturing, usage, repair, repurposing and recycling. Portable and SLI batteries still need a QR code and verified data behind it.
For many companies, that data is scattered across ERP, PLM, MES, supplier portals, spreadsheets, LCA tools and battery management systems. Without a connected architecture, readiness stays slow, manual and hard to scale across product portfolios.
A QR Code Alone Will Not Ensure Compliance.
The QR code is only the access point. Behind it, companies need structured data, access controls, verified documentation, carbon calculations, recycled-content evidence and a complete audit trail. carbmee connects battery, supplier, product and carbon data into one scalable foundation for compliance across every battery category.
Data Gaps Put Market Access at Risk.
From 18 February 2027, batteries without the required QR code, data or passport cannot enter the EU market. Missing supplier, material, carbon or lifecycle data can delay generation and weaken audit readiness. carbmee helps teams identify gaps, engage suppliers, validate inputs and monitor completeness before risks become critical.
Compliance Requires Cross-Functional Coordination.
Battery Regulation readiness spans compliance, sustainability, product engineering, procurement, IT, operations and legal. Each team owns part of the data, but no team can solve it alone. carbmee creates a shared operating layer to define ownership, collect inputs, calculate PCFs and maintain lifecycle records.
Verified Results. Real Impact.
Working with Carbmee allowed us to move beyond theoretical targets and actually identify where we could make the biggest impact. By modeling emissions at the component and supplier level, we uncovered a significant reduction potential in Scope 3 - focused on practical changes like renewable energy use and material substitutions that we could act on immediately.
